Streaming platform ZEE5 has appealed to viewers not to support piracy after Diljit Dosanjh’s film ‘Satluj’ was removed from its platform just two days after its release.
Following the film’s removal, several users began circulating downloaded copies of the movie across social media and messaging platforms, raising concerns over copyright infringement and piracy.
In a fresh statement issued on Monday, ZEE5 urged audiences to refrain from sharing or watching pirated versions of the film and assured fans that it is making every possible effort to restore the movie on its platform.
“We are hopeful and doing everything we can. Please do not support piracy. We remain committed to exploring every possible avenue to bring Satluj back to you,” the platform said in a post on X.
The Honey Trehan-directed film, previously titled ‘Punjab 95’, had already faced years of delays and a prolonged censorship battle before finally making its OTT debut.
The sudden removal of the film has disappointed fans, while ZEE5 has maintained that it is working towards resolving the issue and bringing the film back for viewers.(Agencies)
