The Jammu Division of Northern Railway has extended the operation of the special reserved train between New Delhi and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra to accommodate the increase in passenger traffic and make travel more convenient for pilgrims.
Officials said the special train service, numbered 04081/04082, was originally introduced to meet the growing demand from passengers traveling to the Vaishno Devi shrine. The decision to extend its operation came after authorities noted a consistent increase in passenger traffic on this route.
Railway officials said the extension is intended to make travel easier for devotees and other passengers heading to the holy town of Katra. The special train links New Delhi with Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra, a major pilgrimage destination that attracts thousands of devotees year-round. (Sources)
