Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday paid tribute to Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) on the occasion of Muharram, remembering his supreme sacrifice and its enduring message of truth, justice, courage, and conviction.
In a post on X, the Prime Minister said that the sacrifice of Hazrat Imam Hussain continues to inspire generations to remain steadfast in the pursuit of truth and justice.
“The sacrifice of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) continues to inspire many people to remain steadfast in the pursuit of truth and justice. It is also a reminder of the enduring power of courage and conviction,” PM Modi wrote.
Muharram is observed by Shia Muslims across the world to commemorate the martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS), the grandson of Prophet Muhammad, who was martyred in the Battle of Karbala.
