Jammu & Kashmir, October 1: Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Jammu & Kashmir, Sanjeev Verma, has stressed the need to ensure that no eligible citizen is left outside the electoral process. The emphasis comes as the Election Department continues voter-awareness and enrolment initiatives across the Union Territory.

Verma has highlighted the importance of sustained voter outreach, particularly among first-time voters, young electors and vulnerable sections of society. During a recent SVEEP programme in Rajouri, he called upon electoral officials and Booth Level Officers (BLOs) to maintain regular contact with voters and ensure that information about registration and electoral services reaches people at the grassroots level.

The CEO also underlined that voter awareness should not be restricted to election periods. Officials have been encouraged to identify areas where awareness and facilitation need to be strengthened and to address voter-related concerns in a timely manner.

The initiative aims to promote informed and responsible participation while helping eligible citizens access electoral-roll services and exercise their franchise.
