Kishtwar, March 11, 2026:
A delegation of the Jammu & Kashmir National Conference on Monday called on Pankaj Kumar Sharma and discussed several pressing public issues concerning the district.
The delegation was led by Working District President Imtiyaz Ahmed Zargar and included Party Additional Spokesperson Mohd Imran Qazi, Zonal Vice President Mushtaq Ahmed Sheikh, District President Labour Union Aijaz Ahmed, former Sarpanch Pyare Lal, former Sarpanch Mohd Amin, District Vice President Sajjad Ahmed Sheikh, Additional District Spokesperson Rehmant Choudhary, Block President Wali Mohd Giri, Youth District President Ikhlaq Butt and other party representatives.
During the meeting, the delegation highlighted a number of issues affecting the residents of Kishtwar district. The key matters raised included shifting and proper allocation of the Court Complex in Kishtwar, the poor condition of roads in several areas, irregular supply and availability of LPG cylinders, and the need for early execution and completion of works under the town planning scheme.
The delegation urged the district administration to take prompt and effective steps to address these issues in the larger interest of the public and to ensure that development works are completed without unnecessary delay.
Deputy Commissioner Pankaj Kumar Sharma patiently heard the concerns raised by the delegation and assured them that the issues would be examined and necessary action would be taken in accordance with the rules.
The meeting concluded in a cordial atmosphere with constructive discussions on various developmental and administrative matters related to the district.
