Jammu, October 5, 2026: The 14 JKAP Battalion organised a Police-Public Meet at its Battalion Headquarters on October 5, with active participation from local civilians and community representatives.

The programme began with a welcome address by the Dy. Commandant, 14 JKAP Battalion, who highlighted the importance of regular interaction and communication between the police and the public.

Addressing the gathering, the Commandant, 14 JKAP Battalion, emphasised unity, mutual trust, cooperation and stronger Police-Public relations. He stressed that continuous dialogue between the police and community is essential for maintaining peace, security and a strong sense of partnership.

The Commandant also urged participants to maintain close coordination with the police and contribute constructively towards resolving issues of common concern.

The meet included awareness sessions on Drug Abuse and Cyber Awareness, focusing on the harmful effects of drug abuse, particularly among youth, as well as cyber fraud, online safety and precautions while using digital platforms.

An open interaction session was also organised, allowing members of the public to share their concerns, suggestions and issues directly with the police. Several civilians spoke on the dais and shared their views and suggestions.

The participants appreciated the initiative and expressed their willingness to further strengthen cooperation and communication with the police.

As part of the programme, lunch was also served to the participating members of the public, providing an opportunity for informal interaction and further strengthening mutual understanding.

The Police-Public Meet provided a platform for open dialogue, exchange of views and strengthening mutual trust and cooperation. The programme concluded on a positive note, with an assurance that the concerns and suggestions raised by the participants would be given due consideration.
