The body of a 40-year-old man was recovered on Thursday morning in the Alyalpora area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district.
According to officials, some passersby spotted the body near the Fisheries Department and immediately alerted authorities. The deceased has been identified as Riyaz Ahmad Lone, a resident of Kanipora, Shopian. He was an auto-rickshaw driver by profession.
A police team promptly reached the spot and shifted the body for medico-legal formalities.
