Doon International School , Jammu has added yet another feather to its cap by being adorned with the most prestigious and coveted honour of “Holistic Excellence Award” at the grand event of “Big Impact Awards 2026” held at Hari Palace. The ceremony, organized by 92.7 Big FM, celebrated and recognized unconventional excellence across Jammu & Kashmir.
The award was graciously presented by the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha ji in a glittering ceremony attended by distinguished dignitaries and eminent personalities from various sectors of J&K .
In a moment of immense pride, Doon International School Jammu stood out as the only CBSE school from the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir to receive this esteemed honour, reaffirming its position as a pioneer in delivering quality and holistic education.

He lauded the relentless efforts of educational institutions that strive for excellence beyond academics. This recognition is a testament to the DIS Jammu’s unwavering commitment, dedication and consistent efforts over the past 11 years since its inception in 2015. The institution has been instrumental in nurturing young minds and shaping them into holistically developed and independent learners equipped with essential life skills and competencies in abundance.
The award was received by the pillars of the institution — the Honourable Chairman, Mr. G. N. Tantray; Vice Chairman, Mr. M. A. Tantray and the Founder Principal, Dr. Vikesh Kaur. The occasion was further graced by the presence of the young Director, Mr. Leesan Ul Nabi, Academic Manager Ms. Gazia Khurshid Khan and Col.
