Jammu/Doda, March 10, 2026: Continuing its sustained drive against drug trafficking, Doda Police achieved another success by apprehending three alleged drug peddlers and recovering a charas-like substance during routine patrolling.
Acting on the directions of SSP Doda Sandeep Mehta (JKPS), a police team from Police Post Kastigarh conducted routine patrolling and checking in the area on March 10 under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Doda.
During the operation, the police party detained three individuals identified as Mubashir Hussain S/o Mohammad Sharief R/o Basti Kotli, Doda; Muzamil Raja Beg S/o Nazir Ahmed Beg R/o Udjyanpur, Doda; and Khalid Shah S/o Javed Iqbal Shah R/o Ward No. 9, Doda.
During their personal search, police recovered approximately 170 grams of charas-like substance from their possession.
In this regard, FIR No. 56/2026 has been registered at Police Station Doda under relevant sections of the NDPS Act, and further investigation into the matter has been taken up.
Doda Police reiterated its commitment to take strict action against drug peddlers and urged the general public to cooperate with the police by sharing any information related to drug trafficking in their areas.
