Kishtwar/New Delhi, July 25, 2026: The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) has called off its protest after the government accepted all three of its key demands, with the decisions announced publicly at a joint press conference held following the meeting.
The government side was represented by Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda and Union Minister Jitendra Singh, while the CJP was represented by Saurabh Das and Ashutosh Ranka.
The government accepted the CJP’s three key demands:
👉 Dharmendra Pradhan has resigned as Union Education Minister.
👉 Compensation will be provided to the families of students who died by suicide in connection with the NEET paper leak controversy.
👉 All FIRs registered against the protesting students will be withdrawn.
The government has also agreed to the CJP’s five-point agenda for reforms in the education sector, with further discussions on the proposed reforms to be held.
Following the announcement of the decisions, the CJP declared that its protest had been called off.
The development comes amid the ongoing controversy surrounding the NEET-UG 2026 examination and protests over alleged irregularities in the examination process.
The CJP said the government’s acceptance of its demands and agreement to discuss wider education reforms marked a significant outcome of the protest.
