BSF Shoots Dead Two Suspected Pakistani Intruders Along Punjab Border

Tarn Taran, October 2: The Border Security Force (BSF) on Friday foiled an alleged infiltration attempt along the India-Pakistan International Border in Punjab’s Tarn Taran district, killing two suspected Pakistani intruders, officials said.

The incident reportedly took place near Rajoke village in the Khalra sector, where BSF personnel detected two individuals allegedly attempting to cross into Indian territory from the Pakistani side. According to initial reports, the personnel issued warnings to the suspected intruders to stop, but they allegedly continued moving towards the Indian side.

BSF personnel subsequently opened fire, resulting in the deaths of both individuals. Their identities have not yet been officially confirmed, and further details regarding the circumstances of the incident are awaited.

The incident comes along a sensitive stretch of the India-Pakistan border in Punjab, where security forces maintain heightened surveillance to prevent infiltration and other cross-border activities. Punjab shares a 553-kilometre-long international border with Pakistan.
