KISHTWAR, MAY 07: Under the directions of Deputy Commissioner Pankaj Kumar Sharma, the Labour Department Kishtwar, led by Assistant Labour Commissioner (ALC) Mamta Sudershan, today handed over compensation to the family of late Yasir Hussain, a resident of Nowapachi Marwah, who lost his life in a workplace accident while working as a labourer.
An amount of ₹15.20 lakh was transferred by Cholamandalam MS General Insurance into the account of the ALC Kishtwar, who formally handed over the cheque to the bereaved family.
ALC Mamta Sudershan expressed heartfelt condolences to the family and reiterated the Labour Department’s commitment towards providing timely support and welfare assistance to employees and their families affected by workplace accidents.
She said the department remains dedicated to ensuring worker welfare, safety and financial relief to families impacted by tragic incidents at project sites.
The initiative reflects the Labour Department’s continued efforts to safeguard the interests of workers and extend support to affected families during difficult times.
