Amit Shah Praises the Move, Calls It a Step Towards Lasting Peace in Jammu and Kashmir
Two Hurriyat-Linked Groups Cut Ties with Separatism; Amit Shah Hails ‘Historic Move’
New Delhi, Mar 26: In a major political development, two organizations affiliated with the Hurriyat Conference have announced their decision to sever ties with separatism in Jammu and Kashmir. Union Home Minister Amit Shah hailed the move as a “significant victory” for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a peaceful and unified India.
Taking to social media platform X, Shah declared that separatism in Kashmir had been relegated to history due to the unifying policies of the Modi government. “The unifying policies of the Modi government have tossed separatism out of J&K. Two organizations associated with the Hurriyat have announced the severing of all ties with separatism,” he posted.
Welcoming the decision, Shah urged other separatist-aligned groups to follow suit. “I welcome this step towards strengthening Bharat’s unity and urge all such groups to come forward and shed separatism once and for all. It is a big victory for PM Shri @narendramodi Ji’s vision of building a developed, peaceful, and unified Bharat.”
The move is being seen as a reflection of the changing political dynamics in Jammu and Kashmir. Over the past few years, the government has intensified its crackdown on separatist elements through strict enforcement of anti-terror laws and socio-economic reforms. Officials believe this development marks a crucial shift towards stability and further integration of the region with the rest of the country.
