One unidentified terrorist was killed on Wednesday in an ongoing encounter in the Chatroo area of Kishtwar district, the Army said.
Posting on the micro-blogging platform X, the Army’s WhiteKnight Corps stated, “During the continuing search and elimination of terrorists in the Kishtwar region, where earlier operations have led to several contacts in dense forests and challenging terrain, troops re-established contact with terrorists on the run in the ongoing joint Operation Trashi-I. The operation, conducted by CIF Delta, WhiteKnight Corps, Jammu & Kashmir Police, and CRPF, around 5:45 pm today in the general area of Dichhar, Kishtwar, resulted in one terrorist being successfully neutralised. Operation is ongoing.”
The Army added that more details will follow.
