Terror Associate Held in Pulwama; Arms, Grenades Recovered

Pulwama, May 2: In a major security operation, a joint team of forces comprising Army’s 44 Rashtriya Rifles (RR), CRPF 183 Battalion, and Pulwama Police apprehended a terrorist associate in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

The arrested individual has been identified as Mohd Umar Malik, son of Abdul Majeed Malik, a resident of Kachipora Qasbayar, falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Rajpora.

According to officials, during the search operation, a cache of arms and ammunition was recovered from his possession. The seized items include one Star pistol, one pistol magazine, two live rounds, and two hand grenades.

Police have registered a case under FIR No. 75/2026 at Police Station Rajpora under sections 7/25 of the Arms Act and sections 18, 20, 23, and 39 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).

Authorities stated that further investigation is underway to ascertain the terror links and wider network associated with the accused.
