Jammu, February 21, 2026: The Police Station–wise Performance Awards for the year 2025 have been announced in the DKR Range following a rigorous, transparent and merit-based evaluation on key policing parameters, including crime disposal, quality of investigation, recovery of stolen property, tracing of missing persons, conviction rate, action against absconders, NDPS enforcement and overall public service delivery.
Police Station Kishtwar has secured the Overall First Rank among all police stations of the DKR Range, reflecting exceptional efficiency, professionalism and dedication despite operating in a remote and geographically challenging district. The achievement underscores effective leadership and sustained efforts in maintaining law and order while ensuring timely justice to the public.
In District Kishtwar, Inspector Firdous Ahmed, SHO Police Station Kishtwar, led the station to first position in disposal of inquest proceedings, tracing of missing persons, registration of NDPS cases, value-wise recovery of stolen property and conviction rate under Category-III. The station also secured third position in crime disposal under Category-III.
Police Station Ramban secured the Overall Second Rank, demonstrating strong operational performance across various policing parameters. In District Ramban, Inspector Vikram Parihar, SHO Police Station Ramban, guided the station to first position in crime disposal under Category-III, apprehension of absconders and registration of cattle smuggling cases. The station also secured second position in value-wise recovery of stolen property and third position in disposal of inquest proceedings (percentage-wise), tracing of missing persons and conviction rate under Category-III.
Police Station Doda secured the Overall Third Rank, reflecting commendable policing initiatives and consistent performance throughout the year. In District Doda, Inspector Parvaiz Ahmed, SHO Police Station Doda, led the station to first position in value-wise recovery of stolen property and second position in crime disposal under Category-III, tracing of missing persons, registration of NDPS cases, conviction rate under Category-III and disposal of inquest proceedings.
On the occasion, DIGP DKR Range, Sh. Shridhar Patil, IPS, congratulated the award-winning officers and their teams for their dedication and professionalism, stating that the awards recognize merit, efficiency and effective leadership at the police station level.
He emphasized that performance-based recognition promotes accountability, motivation and healthy competition among field units, and urged all police stations in the range to strive for excellence, strengthen public trust and maintain a zero-tolerance approach towards crime.
The DIGP further stated that the objective of such evaluations is to enhance service delivery, ensure timely justice and improve public confidence in the police. He expressed hope that the personnel of the DKR Range will continue to uphold the highest standards of integrity, efficiency and dedication in safeguarding the lives and property of citizens.
