Omar Abdullah Urges Tough Action Against Terrorists, Cautions Against Harming Innocents
In the wake of the deadly terror attack in Pahalgam, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has called for a strong and decisive response against terrorism and its enablers. However, he stressed that efforts must be carefully targeted to avoid alienating the general public.
“Punish the guilty without mercy, but ensure that innocent people are not harmed,” Abdullah said, emphasizing the need to protect civilians while dealing firmly with those responsible for violence.
The Chief Minister lauded the people of Kashmir for their spontaneous and courageous stand against terrorism and the killing of innocents. “The people have come out openly and freely against terrorism,” he noted, adding that it is vital to build on this support and avoid any actions that could erode public trust.
