The Directorate of School Education, Kashmir, has revised the school timings for all Government and recognized Private Schools across the Kashmir Division, effective November 1, 2025.
According to Order No. 309-DSEK of 2025, issued on October 30, 2025, schools within the Srinagar Municipal limits will now operate from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Schools located outside the municipal limits of Srinagar District and in other areas of the Kashmir Division will function from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The Directorate has instructed all educational institutions to strictly follow the revised schedule without any deviation.
This change is part of the seasonal adjustment made annually by the School Education Department to align with reduced daylight hours during the winter months.
