Leader of Opposition in Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Sunil Sharma, launched a scathing attack on the National Conference (NC) government, accusing it of deceiving the people with hollow promises and indulging in large-scale corruption.
Addressing a gathering on Wednesday, Sharma said that while Omar Abdullah and his government made tall promises of providing ration, electricity, and gas cylinders to the people, what they actually delivered was “corruption worth crores and complete neglect of the poor.”
“The people of Jammu & Kashmir waited for relief and development, but were betrayed by a government that prioritized its own interests over public welfare,” Sharma remarked.
The Leader of Opposition announced that the BJP will soon expose every scam committed during the NC regime and will demand a CBI inquiry to ensure justice and accountability.
“Those who looted public funds must be held accountable. The people deserve to know how their trust was betrayed,” he asserted.
Calling the NC government’s tenure one marked by incompetence, corruption, and administrative paralysis, Sharma reaffirmed the BJP’s commitment to clean governance, transparency, and genuine public service.
“BJP stands with the people of Jammu & Kashmir. We will continue to fight for justice, accountability, and a government that truly serves the people,” he concluded.
