Samba, May 14: Member of Parliament Jugal Kishore Sharma today chaired the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting at the Conference Hall of District Administrative Complex, Nandani Hills, Samba to review the progress of Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS) being implemented in the district.
The meeting was attended by MLAs Surjeet Singh Slathia (Samba), Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal (Ramgarh), Chander Parkash Ganga (Vijaypur), District Development Commissioner Ayushi Sudan, Additional Deputy Commissioner, nominated DISHA members, and senior officers from various departments.
At the outset, the Deputy Commissioner presented a detailed PowerPoint briefing highlighting achievements and progress under various centrally sponsored schemes, along with updates on major development projects being executed in the district.
Detailed discussions were held on Rural Development schemes, Urban Development programmes, road projects, Ayushman Bharat, Jal Jeevan Mission, Power Development initiatives, Social Security schemes, PM-KISAN, and financial inclusion programmes.
Officials informed the meeting that several works under these schemes have already been completed, while many others are in different stages of execution.
Addressing the meeting, the Member of Parliament emphasized the need for officers to work with dedication, coordination, and efficiency to ensure timely achievement of targets during the current financial year. He stressed that welfare schemes must reach the last beneficiary in the queue.
MLAs also raised various public issues and development demands related to their constituencies, which were noted by the concerned departments for further action.
The MP expressed satisfaction over the overall progress of Centrally Sponsored Schemes in the district and reiterated the need for continued focus on effective implementation for public benefit.
