NEW DELHI, September 26, 2026: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti has appealed to “secular-minded” people to participate in a protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on September 29.
Mufti made the appeal on Saturday as the PDP sought wider participation in the proposed demonstration. The protest is expected to bring together people and political voices around issues concerning Jammu and Kashmir and broader political and constitutional concerns.
The appeal comes amid renewed political activity in Delhi over Jammu and Kashmir-related issues, with Jantar Mantar continuing to serve as a venue for demonstrations by political parties and civil-society groups.
