LG Visits Vibrant Village Trehgam in Kupwara, Inaugurates Key Development Projects

Focus on infrastructure growth education connectivity and youth empowerment

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today visited Vibrant Village Trehgam in Kupwara, where he inaugurated and laid foundation stones for several development projects and interacted with local residents to assess their needs and concerns.

Addressing a public gathering, he said the Government of India under Prime Minister Narendra Modi is committed to the all-round development of border villages, aiming to transform them into model villages with modern infrastructure and better opportunities.

He highlighted progress in education, connectivity, power supply, and self-employment initiatives, noting significant growth in tourism and rural development indicators in Kupwara.

The LG emphasized strengthening education, agriculture, and livelihood opportunities while ensuring full saturation of central and UT schemes in border areas. He also stressed improving connectivity through roads, telecom, electricity, and digital access.

Several projects including smart classrooms, playground development, and cultural heritage preservation works were inaugurated or launched during the visit.

He also distributed appointment letters, sanction letters, and flagged off a mobile TB diagnosis and awareness vehicle for public health outreach.
