Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Anantnag, SKUAST-K organized a large-scale awareness programme on drug abuse under the 100-Day Nasha Mukt J&K Campaign at its Dooru campus.
The event saw participation from civil administration, police officials, students, farmers, religious leaders, and civil society members, all pledging support for a drug-free society.
SDM Dooru Parvaiz Rahim, Chief Guest on the occasion, stressed the importance of collective community action, youth engagement, and grassroots awareness to eliminate drug abuse and protect future generations.
Senior Scientist KVK Dr. Ishtiyaq Ahmad Khan urged youth to adopt discipline and responsibility, highlighting the role of scientific institutions in addressing social challenges. SHO Dooru also briefed participants on the legal consequences of drug abuse and trafficking.
A pledge was administered to all participants, followed by a massive awareness rally where hundreds marched through nearby villages carrying placards and raising slogans promoting a drug-free lifestyle.
