The Association also requested the timely issuance of Legislative Assembly media passes to journalists, stating that any delay in issuing passes hampers smooth access to the Assembly and affects the quality of news coverage.

President Sheikh Shahrukh said that journalists play a crucial role in strengthening democracy by providing accurate and timely information to the public. He urged the government to address these genuine concerns on priority and ensure that all necessary facilities are made available well before the commencement of the Assembly session.

JKJWA expressed confidence that the Deputy Chief Minister would give due consideration to the demands raised in the memorandum and take appropriate steps to facilitate the working conditions of journalists covering the Legislative Assembly.
