New Delhi/Jammu: J&K IPS officer M.Y. Kichloo has been conferred with two prestigious awards in 2026 in recognition of his contributions to innovation and cybersecurity, highlighting his long-standing efforts to strengthen cyber policing and technology-driven law enforcement.
Kichloo received the FCRF Award 2026 in the Innovation/Cybersecurity category at the Future Crime Summit held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The summit brought together cyber experts, innovators and security professionals from India and abroad, with participation from police organisations, the Army, CERT-In, the Ministry of Home Affairs and other institutions working in cybersecurity and emerging technologies.
During the summit, Kichloo also participated in discussions on emerging technological challenges and opportunities, including Artificial Intelligence, Synthetic Intelligence and Quantum Computing.
In another recognition, his innovation was honoured with an International Award for Excellence at an event held in New Delhi, acknowledging his contributions to innovation and cybersecurity.
M.Y. Kichloo is regarded as a pioneer in introducing cyber policing in Jammu and Kashmir, having initiated efforts in the field as early as 2009. Over the years, he has contributed extensively to cybersecurity awareness, policing and technological innovation. He has also authored books and has several national and international publications to his credit.
His distinguished career includes the President’s Medal for Meritorious Service, DGP Commendations, two Air Vice Marshal, Indian Air Force commendations, and several national-level awards for his contributions to cybersecurity.
With the latest recognitions, Kichloo has added further honours to his record in cybersecurity, innovation and technology-driven policing, reflecting his sustained efforts to strengthen cyber capabilities and promote technological advancement in law enforcement.
