JAMMU, September 28: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has said that 46,237 out of 46,998 works recommended by Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) have been included in the respective District Capex Plans.
The figures indicate that the vast majority of works recommended by elected representatives have been incorporated into district-level capital expenditure planning, covering development and infrastructure-related projects across Jammu and Kashmir.
According to the government’s statement, 761 MLA-recommended works remain outside the District Capex Plans. The inclusion of the projects is part of the administration’s process of translating local development priorities raised by legislators into planned government works.
The District Capex framework is used by the administration to plan and allocate resources for development projects at the district level. The latest figures highlight the scale of MLA-recommended works being processed through this mechanism.
The government’s disclosure comes amid continued focus on strengthening district-level development and addressing infrastructure requirements identified by elected representatives.
