Jammu Police South zone makes major arrests in separate drug cases; heroin-like substance and electronic weighing scales recovered

Jammu, November 6, 2025: Jammu Police, South Zone, has achieved significant breakthroughs in its ongoing campaign against narcotics by arresting two lady drug peddlers in separate operations conducted by Police Station Bahu Fort.

In the first case, during routine patrolling in Rajiv Nagar (Boot Polish Mohalla), a team from Police Post Narwal, led by its Incharge, intercepted Raveena W/o Rahul, resident of Rajiv Nagar, Narwal. A search led to the recovery of approximately 30 grams of heroin-like substance, cash, and one electronic weighing scale. FIR No. 319/2025 under sections 8/21/22/27A of the NDPS Act has been registered, and the accused is in police custody.

 

In the second case, the ongoing investigation of FIR No. 311/2025 U/S 8/21/22/27A NDPS Act led to further action. Earlier, on October 27, 2025, Isha D/o Lt. Vijay, resident of Rajiv Nagar, Narwal, was arrested with 8 grams of heroin (chitta). Interrogation revealed that she had procured the drugs from Bharti W/o Gogi, Rajiv Nagar, Narwal. Acting promptly, the police, accompanied by the Naib Tehsildar Bahu Fort, searched Bharti’s residence, recovering 14 grams of heroin-like substance and one electronic weighing machine. All seized items were taken into police custody following legal procedures.

 

Both operations were conducted under the overall supervision of SSP Jammu and the guidance of SP City South, SDPO City East, and SHO Police Station Bahu Fort.

 

Jammu Police reiterated its zero-tolerance policy towards narcotics and urged the public to share any information regarding drug activities, assuring complete confidentiality for informants.
