In a significant success against absconding offenders, a police team from Police Station R.S. Pura apprehended a long-time absconder who had been evading arrest for the past four years in a case registered at Police Station Chanderkote.
The accused, Bagh Ali S/o Remo R/o Sunderpur, Tehsil R.S. Pura, District Jammu, was wanted in Case FIR No. 79/2022 U/S 307/427/34 IPC and 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act. Due to his continuous evasion of arrest, the Hon’ble Session Court, Ramban, had issued a warrant against him under Section 512 CrPC.
Acting on credible intelligence inputs and sustained surveillance, a dedicated team of Police Station R.S. Pura launched a strategic operation, which resulted in the successful tracing and apprehension of the accused.
After his arrest, the concerned team of Police Station Chanderkote was informed telephonically for further necessary legal proceedings.
The arrest reflects the commitment of Jammu Police towards ensuring that law offenders, especially absconders, are brought to justice through coordinated efforts and professional policing.
