Gool, Jan 10: National Conference leader and Hon’ble MLA Banihal, Mr. Sajjad Shaheen, today distributed Digital Smart Boards to 14 Government educational institutions of Sub-Division Gool under the Constituency Development Fund (CDF), marking a significant step towards strengthening digital education and improving classroom infrastructure in the region.
Speaking on the occasion, the MLA emphasized that the integration of modern technology in Government schools is essential to ensure quality education and to bridge the digital divide, particularly in far-flung and hilly areas. He reiterated his commitment to upgrading educational infrastructure and ensuring equal learning opportunities for students across the Banihal–Gool constituency.
On the same occasion, cheque assistance was distributed among 16 flood-affected families of Gool under CDF, providing much-needed relief to families who suffered losses due to recent floods. The MLA expressed solidarity with the affected families and assured them of continued support and timely assistance from his office.
The MLA also distributed sanction letters of 2 lakh loan to each approved under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) to four farmers for setting up Sheep Rearing Units in Gool, aimed at promoting livelihood generation and strengthening the rural economy.
The programme was attended by DDC Chairperson Dr. Shamshada Shan, Chief Education Officer Mr. Mumtaz Ahmed Khan, SDM Gool Mr. Imtyaz Choudhary, Tehsildar Gool, BDO, BMO, other sectoral officers of Sub-Division Gool, besides prominent party functionaries and local representatives.
Participants appreciated the initiatives taken by the MLA towards educational upliftment, farmer empowerment, and humanitarian assistance, reflecting his sustained efforts for inclusive development and modernization of public services in the Banihal–Gool region.
