Israel’s Defence Minister Israel Katz has warned that the country is prepared to resume military operations against Iran if required, saying any future action would be carried out with “greater force.”

The statement came amid renewed tensions between the United States and Iran, raising concerns over a possible escalation in the Middle East after previous ceasefire efforts.

Speaking at a military ceremony, Katz said the Israeli army remains on alert and is ready to restore air superiority and target threats inside Iran if necessary.

“If we have to return, we will do so with even greater force,” Katz said, adding that Israel would continue taking steps to protect its security interests.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Iran had been weakened following previous military campaigns but acknowledged that the broader confrontation was not yet over.

Netanyahu said Israel had demonstrated the capability of its air force to carry out operations across the region, while stressing that security challenges linked to Iran continue to remain a concern.

The latest developments come amid increased military activity involving Israel, the United States and Iran, with fears growing that further clashes could lead to a larger regional conflict.

International observers are closely monitoring the situation as diplomatic efforts continue to prevent further escalation and maintain stability in the Middle East.(ACTION)
