Bandipora, May 5: HKM Government Degree College Bandipora on Tuesday organized a series of awareness rallies under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyaan, aiming to promote a drug-free society and enhance road safety awareness among the public.
The programmes were held under the guidance of Principal Prof. Suresh Kumar Dogra, with active participation from NSS Units, the NCORD Cell, and the college’s Road Safety Club. Students and faculty members took part in separate rallies across the town.
Participants carried banners and placards highlighting messages against drug abuse, rash driving, and intoxicated driving, while advocating for healthier and more responsible lifestyles.
Coordinators of the 100-day campaign, Dr. Manzoor Ahmad Parey and Dr. Wasia Hamid, interacted with shopkeepers, chemists, drivers, and commuters during the rallies. They sensitized the public about the harmful effects of substance abuse, the importance of adhering to traffic rules, and the shared responsibility in curbing drug-related issues.
