SHOPIAN, Apr 7 : A sudden hailstorm has damaged apple blossoms across several parts of southern Kashmir, leaving farmers worried at the start of the new horticulture season.
Reports received by News Agency said the hailstorm struck orchards at a critical time when flowers had just begun to bloom. Experts warn that the damage could significantly impact this year’s apple yield, affecting the livelihoods of local orchardists.
Farmers have urged the government to provide immediate relief and compensation, calling for swift action to reduce their losses.
“This is a crucial period for us. The flowers had just started blooming, and the hailstorm has crushed our hopes,” an affected farmer told .
