Reasi, May 08: As part of the 100 Day Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, Government Polytechnic College Reasi organised a poster making competition to encourage students to express their views on the serious issue of drug abuse.
Around 40 students participated actively in the event and showcased their creativity through meaningful and awareness-oriented posters carrying strong anti-drug messages.
The programme was conducted under the guidance of Principal Dr. Arun Bangotra and coordinated by faculty members Er. Himanshu Bakshi and Parshotam Lal, who encouraged students to actively participate in awareness-driven initiatives.
The Principal highlighted the crucial role of educational institutions in the Nasha Mukt campaign, stating that awareness is the strongest tool to fight drug addiction. He stressed that such activities help motivate students to contribute towards building a drug-free society.
The posters displayed impactful messages such as “Say No to Drugs” and emphasized the importance of a healthy and disciplined lifestyle.
In the competition, Vikram from the Mechanical Department secured first prize, while Ajay Singh and Aman Lal from the Electrical Department won second and third prizes respectively.
The event concluded with appreciation for all participants. The jury included Er. Veena Thapa, Er. Ayushi Magotra, and Er. Parshotam Singh, who evaluated the posters and encouraged students for their efforts.
