Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, has launched a nationwide initiative titled ‘Vande Bharatam’ aimed at identifying, supporting and empowering innovators, entrepreneurs and problem-solvers across India.
The initiative, launched on his 64th birthday, will cover all 36 states and union territories, over 800 districts, and multiple Indian languages to ensure wider participation from every corner of the country.
Adani said the programme is designed to bridge the gap between talent and opportunity, noting that while India has a strong startup ecosystem, most founders still come from a few major cities. He said Vande Bharatam aims to discover hidden innovators whose ideas deserve recognition, funding and mentorship.
The initiative is open to individuals of all ages and backgrounds, including students, professionals, rural innovators, artisans and early-stage entrepreneurs. Applicants can submit ideas ranging from concepts and prototypes to established ventures across sectors such as technology, agriculture, manufacturing, sustainability and social impact solutions.
Special focus will be given to women entrepreneurs, tribal communities, Divyang individuals and rural innovators working on local challenges. The selection process will evaluate innovation, scalability, and social impact.
After regional evaluations, 75 finalists will be selected for an intensive programme in Ahmedabad, where they will receive mentorship, investor interaction, incubation support and industry exposure. The initiative will also offer category-based recognition and funding opportunities.
Adani said the platform will remain active beyond the competition, aiming to build a long-term ecosystem connecting innovators with mentors, investors and industry leaders to support India’s vision of a Viksit Bharat by 2047.(AGENCY)
