FIR Filed Against Arvind Kejriwal for Alleged Misuse of Public Funds, Delhi Police Tells Court
Delhi Police informed a local court on Friday that an FIR has been registered against former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and others over alleged misuse of public money in 2019. The case pertains to the installation of large hoardings across the national capital, allegedly violating the Prevention of Defacement of Property Act.
The police disclosed this development in a compliance report submitted before Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Neha Mittal. The FIR was lodged following the court’s March 11 directive to take action based on a complaint regarding the matter.
The court has scheduled the next hearing for April 18, granting police additional time to conduct their investigation.
