Doda, May 16, 2026: Continuing its drive against drug trafficking under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, Doda Police on Friday seized approximately 410 grams of charas-like substance in the jurisdiction of Police Station Thathri and apprehended one person.
According to police, a special naka was laid by SHO Police Station Thathri along with Incharge Police Post Premnagar during checking operations in the area. During the naka, one person identified as Saqib Hussain, son of Abdul Majid, resident of Village Bajja, Tehsil Chiralla, District Doda, was intercepted and searched.
During the search, police recovered around 410 grams of charas-like substance from his possession.
In this connection, FIR No. 43/2026 under relevant sections of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Thathri and further investigation has been taken up.
Doda Police reiterated its commitment towards making society drug-free and appealed to the public to share information regarding drug peddling and narcotics activities in their areas.
