Jammu, March 30: The two-day Doda–Kishtwar National Integration Programme (NIT), organised by the National Anti-Terrorism Front (NATF) at Chatroo, concluded on Sunday with a strong call for unity, vigilance, and collective responsibility in safeguarding peace across the region.

The programme witnessed participation from youth, civil society members, and local stakeholders from across the Doda–Kishtwar belt, aiming to strengthen national integration and promote harmony in an area that has historically faced security challenges.

Addressing the gathering, organisers highlighted that NATF, under the leadership of its National Chairman Vishal Chopra, has been actively working to mobilise youth and civil society against terrorism and radicalisation. Chopra, who was elected as the national head of NATF, has emphasised a people-centric approach—focusing on awareness, community engagement, and national unity as key tools in countering terror threats.

Over the two days, interactive sessions and awareness drives stressed the importance of communal harmony, inclusive development, and citizen participation in maintaining long-term peace. Speakers underscored that strengthening grassroots unity is essential to counter divisive and anti-national forces.

In the backdrop of recent terror-related activities in Jammu and Kashmir—where groups like TRF and PAFF have attempted to sustain militant narratives—the programme reiterated the need for continued vigilance and coordinated efforts between security agencies and the public.

A special mention was made of the success of security forces in recent operations, including Operation Trashi-1, which dealt a significant blow to terrorist networks in the region. Participants lauded the role of the Indian Army and security agencies for their decisive action, stating that such operations have reinforced public confidence and contributed to restoring normalcy in vulnerable areas.

The event concluded with participants taking a collective pledge to uphold peace, promote brotherhood, and actively contribute towards strengthening national integration in the Doda–Kishtwar region.
