“Due to prevailing fog conditions today, 30 December 2025, visibility levels across Northern India have reduced at select airports. This may impact flight operations, including possible delays. Passengers are advised to stay in close contact with their respective airlines for the latest flight updates. Travellers should also plan their journeys accordingly by allowing additional time for airport arrival and check-in procedures,” said AAI.

The authority has also deployed assistance teams at affected airports to support travellers and ensure smooth airport operations during adverse weather. Customer support numbers for major airlines were shared to assist passengers on the ground.

Earlier, dense fog in Delhi on Monday caused significant disruptions at Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport, leading to flight delays and cancellations. Airlines like IndiGo and Air India issued advisories urging passengers to monitor their flight status and make use of rebooking or refund options if needed.

IndiGo stated:

“#Delhi and #Hindon airports continue to remain wrapped in chilly winter air and lingering fog. Fluctuating visibility has led to changes in flight schedules. Our teams on-ground are prioritising safety and compliance with visibility requirements. Operations may be slower than usual, and we recommend checking flight status online.”

Passengers are encouraged to remain vigilant and patient while air operations gradually stabilize once weather conditions improve. (Agencies)
