DDC Doda reviews Capex Plan 2026–27, stresses timely execution, quality work and inclusive development across all sectors and blocks

Doda, May 5: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Doda, Krishan Lal, on Monday chaired a comprehensive review meeting at the Conference Hall, DC Office Complex, to assess key developmental priorities and streamline planning for the Annual District Capex Budget 2026–27.

The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer Manesh Kumar, Assistant Commissioner Development Din Mohd Afaqi, District Social Welfare Officer Zubair Ahmed, and officers from various line departments.

Detailed deliberations were held on the formulation and finalization of the District Capex Budget plan for 2026–27. Emphasis was laid on aligning departmental priorities with overall developmental goals, ensuring need-based planning, and avoiding duplication of works.

The DDC stressed timely preparation of plans, prioritization of high-impact projects, and optimal utilization of resources to ensure inclusive and balanced development across all blocks and sectors of the district.

He also reviewed ongoing works and directed departments to ensure their completion within stipulated timelines while maintaining prescribed quality standards.

The progress and allocation under the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) were also reviewed. The DDC instructed concerned departments to expedite execution of approved works and ensure transparency and accountability in fund utilization.

A detailed review was also held on financial inclusion schemes including PMJDY, PMSBY, PMJJBY, APY, and PMMY. The DDC emphasized the need for greater outreach to ensure maximum coverage of eligible beneficiaries, especially in rural and underserved areas.

The implementation of social security schemes such as PMSYM, PM-KMY, National Pension Scheme for traders and self-employed persons, and pension schemes for old age, widows, and persons with disabilities was also reviewed. Officers were directed to ensure timely disbursement of benefits and updated beneficiary records.

Progress on the computerization of Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) was assessed, with directions issued to expedite digitization to improve transparency and service delivery in the cooperative sector.

Inputs from MLAs were also discussed, with the DDC reiterating the importance of incorporating public representatives’ suggestions into the planning framework.

Sector-wise review of ongoing and proposed works of key departments including PWD, Health, School Education, Youth Services & Sports, and municipal bodies of Doda, Bhaderwah, and Thathri was also undertaken.
