Akshay Labroo on Tuesday inspected the ongoing construction works of the new building for Tehsil Office Central Shalteng and Government Middle School (GMS) Panzinara in Srinagar district.
At the Tehsil Office Central Shalteng site, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed the progress of work being executed by the R&B Department at an estimated cost of Rs 1.15 crore.
Officials informed the DC that the upcoming Tehsil Office will include key facilities such as the Tehsildar room, court room, waiting area, Naib Tehsildar room, staff room, meeting room, computer room, establishment section and record room to improve administrative efficiency and public service delivery.
The Deputy Commissioner stressed the need to expedite the pace of work while ensuring strict adherence to quality standards. He said the project is crucial for strengthening revenue administration and improving citizen-centric services in the area.
He also directed R&B engineers to prepare and submit a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for construction of a new office building for the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) West within the same revenue complex.
Earlier, the Deputy Commissioner visited GMS Panzinara-B and took stock of the ongoing infrastructure upgradation and development works.
Officials informed that the construction of the new school building is being undertaken by the R&B Department at an estimated cost of Rs 44.13 lakh.
The DC emphasized timely completion of the school building with strict compliance to quality norms, stating that improved infrastructure would significantly benefit students and enhance learning conditions.
The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by Additional District Development Commissioner Mir Imtiyaz Ul Aziz, IAS Probationer Alfred Thomas, Chief Planning Officer Fayaz Ahmad Dar, SDM West Irfan Bahadur, Assistant Commissioner Development Tariq Ahmad Reshi, BDO Qamarwari Saima Ahad, Deputy CEO Anjum Raja, Executive Engineer R&B and other district officers.
