DC Srinagar hands over CSR-funded ambulance to strengthen emergency healthcare services

SRINAGAR, MAY 11: Deputy Commissioner Akshay Labroo on Monday handed over a fully equipped ambulance to the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Srinagar, procured under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of IDBI Bank to strengthen emergency healthcare services in the district.

The initiative is aimed at improving medical transportation facilities and ensuring timely response for emergency and trauma cases across Srinagar.

The handing over ceremony was attended by senior officials including the Chief Planning Officer, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Chief Medical Officer, medical superintendents, zonal medical officers, and representatives of IDBI Bank.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said the addition of the ambulance will significantly enhance emergency healthcare delivery and serve as a crucial resource for patient transportation across the district.

He emphasized that such CSR-backed initiatives play an important role in strengthening public health infrastructure and ensuring timely medical assistance to the public.

The DC also appreciated IDBI Bank’s CSR initiative, stating that it reflects a strong commitment towards community welfare and healthcare development through its HOPE programme.

Officials said the new ambulance will improve response time in emergencies and support the district’s healthcare system in delivering better services to patients in need.
