DC Jammu Flags Off Massive Anti-Drug Rally Under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan

Students urged to stay away from drug abuse menace

Deputy Commissioner Jammu Dr. Rakesh Minhas flagged off a large anti-drug awareness rally from the DC office under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, aimed at sensitizing youth about the dangers of substance abuse.

Students from government and private institutions participated enthusiastically, carrying placards and raising slogans during the rally that passed through old Jammu city.

The DC urged students to stay vigilant, avoid drug-related influences, and report any such activities to elders or school authorities. He emphasized that a healthy mind and body are essential for overall development and encouraged students to focus on sports and creative activities.

He also administered an anti-drug oath to the participants, reaffirming their commitment to a drug-free society.

Chief Education Officer Ajeet Sharma and other dignitaries also addressed the gathering, encouraging youth to adopt a healthy lifestyle and reject substance abuse. The event was organized in collaboration with JKPSA under the 100-day campaign led by LG Manoj Sinha.
