As part of the Khelo India Scheme’s Fit India Movement, initiated by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, the Srinagar Sector of CRPF today organised a Cycle Campaign from the iconic Lal Chowk Clock Tower to SKICC (Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre) in Srinagar.
According to a statement issued by CRPF, the campaign witnessed active and enthusiastic participation from CRPF officers and personnel, who displayed high spirits and a sense of patriotic zeal throughout the event.
The cycling event was flagged off by Shri P.K. Singh, DIG Srinagar South, CRPF, in the presence of Shri W.R. Josuah, Commanding Officer, 132 Battalion, CRPF, along with several other senior officials.
The initiative aimed to promote physical fitness, environmental awareness, and community engagement among the personnel and the public, in line with the national vision of building a healthier and stronger India through fitness-centric activities.
The CRPF continues to play a crucial role not only in national security but also in engaging with the community through such welfare and fitness-oriented initiatives across Jammu and Kashmir. (Sources)
