Two Drug Peddlers arrested and 8.99 grams of Heroin (Chitta) recovered by Police Station R.S Pura,Jammu

Continuing its drive against drug trafficking and substance abuse, R.S. Pura Police achieved another success by recovering 8.99 grams of heroin (chitta)-like substance from two drug peddlers at a police naka on Sunderpur Road under the jurisdiction of Police Station R.S. Pura.

A police team from Police Station R.S. Pura, led by PSI Vishal Singh and assisted by other officers and officials of the police station, under the supervision of SHO Inspector Tribhawan Khajuria and overall supervision of SP Headquarters Jammu and SDPO R.S. Pura, established a naka at Sunderpur Road on 20.03.2026 during routine patrolling.

During checking, the team stopped a motorcycle bearing registration No. JK02CD-4910. Upon search, 8.99 grams of heroin (chitta)-like substance was recovered from the possession of the accused persons, identified as Kuldeep Kumar, son of Prem Chand, resident of Raipur Gujran, Tehsil R.S. Pura, District Jammu, and pillion rider Rohit Kumar, son of Ashwani Kumar, resident of Chak Aslam, Tehsil R.S. Pura, District Jammu.

In this regard, FIR No. 60/2026 under sections 8/21/22/29 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station R.S. Pura. The accused have been arrested, and the contraband along with the motorcycle has been seized. Further investigation is underway.

Jammu Police reiterates its firm resolve to eradicate the menace of drugs from society and appeals to the public to cooperate by sharing information related to drug trafficking and substance abuse.
