According to sources, Wani, a son of the soil from Jammu and Kashmir, is widely recognised for securing the highest rank in the BSF Assistant Commandant examination in 2016. His achievement came during one of the most turbulent phases in Kashmir’s recent history, when the Valley was witnessing widespread unrest. Since then, he has spent nearly a decade serving the nation in some of its most demanding operational areas, earning respect for his professionalism and commitment to duty.
Sources said that despite having numerous travel options during the family outing, Wani chose Buddha Amarnath, one of the most revered shrines of the Jammu region.
