A major resolution adopted during the convention sought a one-time exemption from the TET requirement for in-service teachers. The participants maintained that teachers who have been serving in schools for several years have already demonstrated their professional competence and should not be required to undergo the eligibility test.

As part of its nationwide campaign, the organisation submitted memoranda to the Government of India through Deputy Commissioners across various districts, urging the Centre to favourably consider the demand. The ABRSM leadership also announced that it would soon meet Members of Parliament from different states and request them to raise the issue during the upcoming Monsoon Session of Parliament, scheduled to commence on July 20, 2026, so that an appropriate policy decision can be taken at the national level.

The convention also focused on improving the quality of education, promoting value-based learning, enhancing the professional development of teachers, and strengthening coordination among educational institutions. Speakers highlighted the pivotal role of teachers in nation-building and stressed that educational reforms should be implemented in consultation with the teaching community.

The valedictory function was graced by MLA Kishtwar Shagun Parihar, who appreciated the dedication and commitment of teachers towards society. Addressing the gathering, she said teachers are the architects of the nation’s future and play an indispensable role in shaping responsible, knowledgeable, and patriotic citizens. She acknowledged the contribution of educators in strengthening the education system and assured that genuine issues concerning teachers deserve due attention.

The organisers expressed gratitude to all delegates and participants for their active involvement and described the convention as a significant platform for discussing the future of education and safeguarding the interests of teachers. The event concluded with the adoption of several resolutions aimed at improving educational standards, protecting teachers’ welfare, and promoting a robust and inclusive education system across the country.
