Awareness Activities Across Rajouri Schools Promote Drug-Free Society

Students, teachers and officials participate in rallies, wall painting, yoga and anti-drug campaigns

Rajouri, May 08: A series of awareness activities were organised across educational institutions in Rajouri district under the ongoing 100-day Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan to spread awareness against drug abuse and promote a healthy lifestyle.

Government Higher Secondary School Dhangri hosted a major awareness programme that witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, teachers, local residents and officials, all joining hands to support the vision of a drug-free society.

As part of the programme, students painted anti-drug slogans on school walls to spread messages of hope, positivity and awareness. A Nukkad Natak presented by students of the host school and Government Higher Secondary School Dalhori highlighted the harmful effects of substance abuse and the importance of staying away from drugs.

Students and teachers also recited poems focusing on healthy living and the negative impact of drugs on society. Awareness speeches were delivered by the BDO, school heads and the TSWO during the event.

A plantation drive was organised to symbolise growth, positivity and a clean environment, while a yoga session promoted physical and mental well-being among participants.

All participants took a pledge to stay away from drugs and encourage others to adopt a healthy and disciplined lifestyle. A signature campaign was also conducted to express collective commitment towards the anti-drug movement.

Meanwhile, similar wall painting and awareness activities were held at several other institutions, including Government High School Androlla, Government High School Potha, Government Model High School Palam and Government Middle School Godar Mal as part of the district-wide campaign.
