Kishtwar, April 9: An encounter broke out between terrorists and security forces in the Chattru forest area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar district on Tuesday.
Official sources confirmed that an exchange of fire took place in the densely forested region. A senior police officer said the gunfight erupted in a rugged and challenging terrain, making the operation more complex.
Additional reinforcements have been rushed to the area, and the operation is currently underway. Further details are awaited.
