Udhampur, Sept 23: Chief of the Air Staff (CAS) Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh visited the strategically important Northern Command theatre in Jammu and Kashmir to review the prevailing operational environment and preparedness of the armed forces.
During his visit to the Headquarters Northern Command in Udhampur, Air Chief Marshal Singh was briefed by Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Northern Command, on key operational dynamics and ongoing inter-service coordination initiatives aimed at strengthening the effective execution of multi-domain operations.
The briefing highlighted the coordination and jointness between the Western Air Command and Northern Command at various levels, from strategic to tactical. Air Chief Marshal Singh expressed confidence in the operational capabilities of the forces and emphasised the importance of continued inter-service synergy for future operations.
The Air Chief also complimented officers and personnel for their commitment and dedication towards safeguarding national interests, according to the defence spokesperson.
