Under the aegis of the ongoing 100-Day Nasha Mukt Campaign, the Tehsil Social Welfare Officer Bhaderwah, Sh. Shahnawaz Ahmad, organized a comprehensive awareness programme at Bus Stand Bhaderwah to sensitize drivers, conductors, and passengers about the harmful effects of drug abuse.
The programme witnessed active participation from transport workers and the general public. Officials highlighted the harmful physical, psychological, and social effects of drug addiction and informed participants about early signs, preventive measures, and the need for timely help. The initiative aimed to promote responsibility among transport workers for ensuring public safety.
On the occasion, pamphlets carrying key messages on drug abuse prevention and helpline information were distributed among drivers, conductors, and passengers to further spread awareness. The material emphasized the importance of a drug-free lifestyle and encouraged individuals to seek support in case of need. It also highlighted the role of community participation in preventing substance abuse and promoting a healthy society.
The Tehsil Social Welfare Officer, Bhaderwah reiterated the department’s commitment to continue such awareness drives and urged all sections of society to join hands in the fight against drug abuse. He emphasized that collective efforts and sustained awareness are essential to eradicate the menace from society. He also called upon the youth to stay vigilant and adopt a healthy, drug-free lifestyle.
